Rep. Dawnna Dukes, District 46, during the 78th Session, was Vice-Chair of the Select Committee on Ethics, chair of Budget & Oversight of the State Cultural and Recreationaal Resources Committee and was a repected member of the powerful Appropriations Committee. She has a powerful voice in funding.

Austin had 31 Towers in 1895, 16 still stand, one on Leona & Pennyslavnia street,near Kealing Middle School. The triangular-shaped 165 feet tall and mounted 15 feet steel pole constructed from cast & wrought iron still provide eternal moonlight at E. 19th & Chicon; E.13th & Coleta streets. and other location in Austin. These Towers are visual reminders of 1894, Austin's Past History. Come On SHARE your stories on the Moonlight Towers.
